Nissan has developed these technologies that look out for you, alerting you to potential dangers, saving lives and they keep monitoring your driving situation.


e-Pedal™ Driving

Some found it strange, the masses found it easy! We are talking about when cars evolved from 3 pedals to 2 pedals, yes the launch of the automatic gearbox to the automotive market. Now Nissan has gone one step further, simplifying driving even more. Nissan introduced the Nissan e-Pedal™to the new Nissan LEAF electric car.

One Pedal To Start, Accelerate, Decelerate and stop

This simplistic approach to driving controls means you can accelerate and decelerate with a single movement on a single pedal. The e-Pedal™works as a conventional accelerator pedal, push down to accelerate. But as you lift off the pedal, releasing the accelerator the electric car will start to slow as the automatic regenerative braking system takes over to slow the car. To make an immediate stop you still have the familiar brake pedal. Nissan’s e-Pedal™ is designed to alleviate fatigue while driving.

Nissan ProPilot

Helping make driving easier in traffic jams or while driving distances on the motorway. Let Nissan’s ProPilot step in to maintain your speed on motorway driving, keep you within your lane and brake for you to a full stop. Available on selected grades.

Nissan ProPilot Park

Let the magic happen with Nissan’sProPilot Parking. No steering, no pedals, no more checking your mirrors. Just simply press and hold a button and your Nissan LEAF can change gears for you, accelerate into space for you, while steering for you. Making parking your Nissan LEAF a breeze. Available on selected grades.

Intelligent Around View Monitor

Intelligent Around View Monitor

4 cameras are placed subtly around the outside of your Nissan LEAF giving you a virtual 360-degree birds-eye view on your infotainment LCD screen. The split-screen display offers you close-ups of the front, rear and kerbside of the vehicle. Making it easy to manoeuvre into tight space and offers the added benefit of alerting you when any objects are close. Available on selected grades.

Traffic Sign Recognition

No more speeding. You will now stay within the speed limit due to Nissan’s smart Traffic Sign Recognition system. Driving down a road, this system will detect the road signs and display the speed limit on the Nissan digital info display. Available on selected grades.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

Be aware of what's behind you. Now you are fully aware of any vehicles driving behind you or approaching the rear of your car. This system uses sensors to alert you to objects approaching you from the side or the rear. Available on selected grades.

Intelligent Trace Control

Drive with confidence around corners. Intelligent Trace Control the road and helps you corner smoothly as it breaks each wheel individually. Available on selected grades.

Blind Spot Warning

No more blind spots with Nissan’s Blind Spot Warning system. Keep an eye on the blind spot area and warn you of any detections i.e. a vehicle. Available on selected grades.

Intelligent Ride Control

Sick of bouncing around as you drive the UK roads? The Nissan LEAF Intelligent Ride Control will smooth out the road's bumps. This system automatically applies the brakes, adjusts engine torque to reduce pitch and roll inside the LEAFs cabin.


Nissan Intelligent Power

Nissan engineers have perfected a new form of EV engine. Building on the basis of the Nissan LEAF 100% electric motor. They have added a petrol engine to generate electric power so you can drive for longer. Nissan is calling it the e-POWER system, provides instant torque, a quieter drive while offering a smoother ride. All this without worrying about having to charge your battery because the petrol engine charges it for you.
