A day in the Nissan Qashqai with e-POWER

With Ambition 2030 in full force, Nissan has released a wide range of electrified vehicles recently to increase accessibility to EV's. Join our social media executive, Lauren, as she test drives the Nissan Qashqai with e-POWER.
Within West Way's most recent vlog on YouTube, you will join Lauren as she experiences the new Nissan Qashqai with e-POWER for the first time. e-POWER is Nissan's new bold and innovative powertrain system which has been created to delivery a responsive drive but with quiet and smooth accelleration.

e-POWER works through both a petrol engine and an electric battery. The petrol engine is used to create enough energy so that electricity is generated and stored in the battery. The car is never powered by the petrol engine, and the wheels are only moved by the flow of electricity from the battery. Interested in e-POWER technology? Learn more here.

At first glance, Lauren recognises that the e-POWER version of the Qashqai holds many similarities to the mild hybrid version. The vehicle is almost identical in appearance compared to the mild hybrid version, the difference being the iconic e-POWER badge which can be found to the rear and both sides.

Lauren takes a quick look under the bonnet at both the electric battery and petrol engine, and briefly explains how e-POWER works. Moving further around the vehicle, she then outlines some of the key exterior features of the Qashqai, including the 19'' alloys, the iconic Nissan V motion grille and the keyless entry on both the driver and front passenger door.

Looking to rear of the vehicle, we see how spacious it is. Lauren shows us the boot space, which can be extended by the folding rear seats. Moving to the back seats, passengers have plenty of space in their foot well. Back seat passangers also have access to air con and charging ports. Lauren also explains all of the main features that can be found within the front of the vehicle. Starting with the infotainment system, she goes through each tab, including home, navigation, music, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and the general settings. Moving down, she then highlights the AC system, which includes two heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Lauren then briefly speaks about the different driving modes available. Later in the video, she tests many of these functions including EV mode, the e-PEDAL and the auto-park function. Lauren later goes on to say the wide variety of driving modes is a great addition to the vehicle and is one of her favourite features.
