The facility, which will be operated by DREEV (EDF's subsidiary), will allow businesses access low-carbon energy, meet decarbonisation targets and work towards becoming net zero, all whilst supporting the grid.
The V2G technology, which was also developed by DREEV, allows for a two-way energy flow;
- Recharging an EV's battery whilst electricity is at its cheapest
- discharging excess energy to sell back to the grid
Fleet owners of the Nissan LEAF or e-NV200 will be able to take up the EDF V2G offer, where they will be able to achieve around £350 in savings, per charger each year. This initiative includes supplying and installing the two-way connected compact 11kW charger, which is capable of charging the Nissan LEAF in 3 hours and 30 minutes; this is 50% faster than the standard charger. You will also have access to the DREEV smartphone app to track charging states and control charging at any time.

By combining the expertise and capabilities of EDF, Nissan and Dreev, we have produced a solution that could transform the EV market as we look to help the UK in its journey towards net zero.
