NEW TO NISSAN

All New Nissan models attracting new customers from other ‘prestige’ brands

Nissan has long been seen as an innovator in the adoption of fresh ideas and emerging technology to the new vehicle market. As the manufacturer of the first mass production electric vehicle (LEAF), the inventor of the Crossover (Qashqai) and the instigator of the Compact SUV sector (with the Juke), Nissan’s trailblazing approach is well-documented.

Nissan are embarking on an unprecented launch of new models, engines and grades. New variants include new Juke & Micra models (Kiiro Limied Edition), Qashqai with a brand new E-Power engine, a new hybrid engine powered Juke and later this year the All-New X-Trail. Nissan’s UK-based production also means British customers can also benefit from shorter lead times for new models compared to many other prestige brands which have been affected by semi-conductor supply and other geo-political challenges.

Juke boosted with new grade & powertrain

Nissan’s latest leap forward has once again started to attract new customers to the brand. The Juke was re-launched 3 years ago with a new look but maintained its quirky design that has enticed a loyal following since 2010. In addition to the standard Juke Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+ variants, Nissan’s compact SUV now has a brand-new Limited-Edition grade, the Juke Kiiro(Read more here), and its first Hybrid powertrain will debut later in the Summer.

Qashqai engines updated

The new Nissan Qashqai launched last year to critical acclaim with a completely fresh design, more room and additional tech. The UK’s favourite Crossover also boasted one of the industry’s first ‘Mild Hybrid’ engine and another new powertrain has finally arrived to dealerships; The Qashqai e-POWER. The Nissan Qashqai has become particularly enticing to Volkswagen Tiguan customers who have seen their orders cancelled due to its Russia-based production, find our comparison here.

Electric crossover SUV

Nissan’s first 100% electric Crossover, the ARIYA, is launching in April with a tour round the West Way dealer network. The ARIYA is the most anticipated all-electric car of 2022 and has received plaudits from both potential customers and industry experts for its futuristic design both inside and out. Slightly bigger than the Qashqai, the ARIYA is set to seduce drivers of the likes of the Tesla model Y, Ford Mustang Mach E, Volvo XC40 and Audi Q4 e-tron as well as more traditional rivals like the VW ID4, Hyundai Ionic and the Kia EV6. See a sneak test-drive preview here.

All-New Nissan X-Trail has finally landed

The All-New X-Trail, for which “rugged versatility” is promised, was unveiled earlier this year. Nissan will be producing both two and four-wheel-drive models of the X-Trail, which will offer defined drivetrain modes for gravel, mud, snow and ice. As part of their Ambition 2030 project, the X-Trail will be joining Nissan's electrified line-up of ultra-efficient vehicles, as it will come with a choice of two different powertrains; Nissan's innovative e-POWER or with mild hybrid technology.

The brand-new X-Trail shape has sharper body lines to give it a more angular look than the previous model, but the range will continue to comprise both 5-seat and 7-seat versions, the latter providing an optional third row of seating. With the new model finally landing in our dealerships, we are now able to offer test drives to all of our customers.

Electric City Car first glimpses

It very much looks like Nissan’s long established city car, the Micra, is in line for a complete makeover and a full electric powertrain early next year with a possible re-brand to boot. Nissan have yet to confirm the name of the successor to the Micra, but the first glimpses look very promising and pretty exciting.
